What are comics to you?
There is a redefined excitement about taking another swing at something you thought you struck out at. Comics. For a long time I saw this art form as something to throw everything at and see what stuck. I was learning.– I needed structure, tact, and realistic plans. For many of us we’re here because we love to create, tell stories! Unfortunately, this work is something that only fits in the spaces between life. My current plan is to change that. The fact is, I’m proven, I can do this, but this time it needs to be centered around what’s good for business. That’s what this is, a business, and that’s what my youthful self didn’t recognize.
I know once the excitement wears down all I’ll have is the doing, the plans, and systems. I’ll have put in place the right tools, or make new ones. Which genuinely brings me more excitement. The build is always tough. I never intend to stop building, but I’ve found the spaces between life have become further apart and if I’m being really honest, I don’t think I can live without making. My time and efforts need to be applied to the things I believe in. So, with that said. I believe in Rowe Verse Comics.
With trials comes experience, and I’ve had my trials. Rowe Verse Comics is at a really cool place right now. I have the opportunity to collaborate on unique projects, I have my own new stories launching soon, and to top it off I’m preparing to launch an online shop this October. Filled with prints, stickers, and stories. More on that to come!
Recently I realized much of what I see business as, and much of what I see comics as, didn’t fully align. Gaining this insight dragged out an entire plan for modeling what comics should be for me. I’ve known comics can be anything, for anyone. But considering what they are for me was new. What can Rowe Verse Comics be? My creative empire. It’s not just three weeks of promotion for a Kickstarter. It’s an ongoing effort to share the work. To entertain. A phrase you will read a lot from me, and is more of a note to myself is “Make it, share it, repeat.” And it’s something I hope many of you can find inspiration in.
It’s with the belief that Rowe Verse Comics is the best in the world, that I leave you with a question. What are comics to you?
Cheers from,
