Let's talk about it.
If you’re reading this it likely means you’re looking for some additional insight on where to post, why, and growth strategies in digital comics. I’ve had the opportunity to not only be a creator (and successful, handsome, the list is long), but also sit back and witness what the hell is going on. My main advice is, relax.

I believe I’ve cracked the code. In essence we want to grow our audiences. To put it bluntly, it’s well established that having an audience for your work, buys the work, which allows you to make more work. – But what if you just made the work? Because that’s the goal right? In a roundabout way that’s what we’re all looking to do. Make it, share it, repeat.
I’ve found myself with more time on my hands recently – time which I can invest back into making the work and into this community. Just making the work has a weird effect of getting what you want. Make it. Share it. Repeat. I’ve learned longevity, community, and innovation are some of the top pillars in the creative pursuit. Over the next while you’ll witness me in multiple spaces for those pillars and for good reason. These spaces are as follows:
One of the most well established locations on the internet. I liken it to a boulder, and I know all of us enjoy pushing the bolder up the hill only for it to roll back down. So after many years of being toppled by that boulder, I’ve decided to just kick back and chill on the boulder. If it moves, I’ll go with it. For now.
The best comics community I’ve located on the internet in present times. Yes it’s taken a downfall since it was purchased. Yes I’m part of the problem. But until something can over take it. It’s the best we’ve got and I believe it’s the people that matter more than the space.
With this one I want to be clear I’m starting a Substack years after it launched. Years after the hype. But witnessing its longevity and how it has remained a constant in the comic community cannot be overlooked. I’ve always run my newsletter and plan to cross thread my blogs, stories, and articles in both. But much like the point of the other spaces, it’s an opportunity for growth and community, which to my point leads to being able to make more work. I’m actually quite excited about this one, I’ll be sharing a weekly comic, as well as many of my writings. You can sub here, but if thats not your thing, I also run my own newsletter here.
With all the effort you may put into these platforms, I must underscore that you put just as much into your own website. This is a creator owned space, so own it. Theres currently 3 months and some change left of 2024. I plan to make it count, and if you get one thing from this blog post it should be, just make the work.
Cheers From,
